Default A new gin I tried

I just tried a newish gin by Tanqueray called Rangpur. It's distilled with "Rangpur" limes, among other things. The lime really takes the edge off the gin, for people who can't handle gin normally, but adds flavor for gin lovers. I'm really liking it

I've never seen it - is it brand new or what?

I assume that when I made that post it was brand new (I had not seen it before then), but have you looked in with the Tanqueray gins?

Does it still taste like a mouthful of pine needles?

Not to me it doesn't, obviously you have to have a taste for gin to enjoy it.

I don't like tanqueray...but if this tastes different I might give it a shot. I can usually only handle 1 glass of gin and tonic.

Do that, the taste is really distinguishable. It tasted fantastic by itself and with tonic. In fact, here's a review of it by someone who probably has signifigantly more experience than I: Guest Review: Tanqueray Rangpur Gin | Liquor Snob

How do you like it compared to Ten?

Hard to say really. Ragpur's taste seems to be more....accessible to most (the few people I shared it with), whereas Ten is way more of a connoisseur's gin due to the higher alcohol content, and the botanicals in it. In conclusion, I like em' both But truth be told, here is my favorite gin to this day: Plymouth Gin

Nope, haven't tried that yet. I keep passing it over for the old tried and true favorites. What do you think of it?

I actually like Magellin alot. It has good flavor but isn't overpowering. I usually have one of those after a few Tanq and Tonic's when I'm out to eat. Most normal restraunts don't carry it though. The nicer places do though.
