Red face Harvest Moon (Blue Moon)

From the label:

This amber-colored, naturally flavored ale is brewed only in Autumn & combines the flavor of vine-ripened pumpkin & s***es with traditional cyrstal malt.

I tried Harvest Moon for the first time tonight.

I liked it - you could taste the pumpkin and the s***es - there, but not too strong. Again, I liked it...but I didn't "really, really like it." I'm surprised at that too - I really thought it was going to be great. I would have to say it was good - and I would try it again - but not great.

Any other thoughts out there on this one?

I have never tried it, but it seems like something I would like. I'll look for it at the bars around here.

Really? I thought there was a difference. I get a distinct orange taste from Blue Moon - especially since I ain't afraid to stuff a half orange in the glass. But I detect no orange of significance in Harvest Moon; just pumpkin and s***e and everything nice....

That was my impression as well. I enjoyed the few I tried.
