How did this pisswater get to be so popular? It's rather harsh and actually quite nasty compared to other similarily priced tequilas. I feel for the folks who buy it and think they are getting quality.

i can't handle that stuff. first tequila i had was 1800 repasado, and i can't go down to jose. that stuff is straight horse piss.

I don't like Jose Cuervo much either. Harsh and nasty, and probably the main reason many people are turned off to tequila. I much prefer Sauza's cheaper stuff even over the "better" varieties of Cuervo. And then there's Patron. Even though I spent $7.50 on that one shot of Patron Silver I had, it was money very well spent

Cuervo Gold is complete crap. Buy Cuervo Black is actually really really good. You can indeed drink it on ice or with just a hint of Coke for a good time.

only thing cuervo is good for is margaritas.

if im goin to drink tequila, i go for Patron Silver or Cabo Wabo usually. have an uncle who has a bunch of expensive tequilas. some good smooth s***, too bad its so damn expensive

I'm not a big tequila fan, but Cuevo Black and Coke is actually one of my favorite easy mixes...

Jose became famous b/c its a cheap mexican brand of tequila. Most of the time I lable it as the "underage" drink. You know the kind of drinks you bought underage b/c it was more reknowned to you and was affordable....same goes with Smirnoff s***.

i never was much of a smirnoff guy though, either popov or absolut

All that s*** is nasty to me as well. I thought it was the s*** back before I was legal. Same with Corona. I honestly thought that was the greatest beer ever made...until I went to Germany
