Default Latest purchases...

Over turkey-day break from school I bought...

Ipswitch Brewery variety pack (local to MA)
It came with:
-Original Ale - Pretty good, like a heavy ale with a hit of roasted flavors
-Dark Ale - yet to try it
-IPA - yet to try it
-Oatmeal Stout - not bad, I liked it better than SA Cream Stout and Rouge's Mocha Porter

Tried SA Boston Lager, nothing big there...

Unibroue 16 (can't wait to try this)

Unibroue Ephemere (had it before and liked it alot)

Weihenstephener Kristall Weissbier and a Hefe Weissbier
No idea about those two, just read the label and said why not. "Oldest Brewery in the world"

Can't wait to try everything

I tried the Weihenstephener Kristall Weissbier tonight.

Tasted like an insanely light lager, practically bud light or something, but with an insanely sweet tart aroma. I really did not like it at all. Super carbonated also.

Interesting. I like high carbonation in some beers though. Of course in some types it just doesn't fit.

I had one of the Ipswitch IPA's last night, and it really reminded me of DFH 90 minute IPA. However, it is a fraction of the cost. Probably about 80% as good for like 1 dollar per bottle.

Ipswich (which I think I have been spelling with a 'switch' ) is in MA. Might be hard to find elsewhere. Mercury Brewing Co.

The Ipswich IPA has a very similar color to the 90 minute with a little more cloud to it. Similar aroma too I need to try them back to back

I finally tried some DFH Raison D'Extra, that was my latest purchase. God damn it was potent, definitely a thick mouth feel, lots of head, very tasty beer, but not for the weak of pallate

I had a 90 min again to try and judge them, and I would say that they are strikingly similar. The 90 min has is clearer, and more alcohol, but I would say the Ipswich is close enough (and cheaper) to be worth it.

Shipping beer probably cost a s*** ton huh?

You hit the nail right on the head. That stuff is strooooong. I made the mistake of drinking it and a very strong homebrew I made and got sick off of them

It's about $10/6-pack I believe.
