Spam through PM's
Hey guys. I have this problem on a site I moderate on. Just recently we started getting spam through PM's. First for us there......at least since I've been there. Is there a program that actually targets on sending these out? I mean a Bot of some sort?
Nick? Has it happened here........that you know of? And is there a way to block it? I'm not an ADMIN, nor do I want to be, but the only thing that I've been able to do is just ban the spammer. Got any other suggestions? |

It happened here. My solution was to create a "new members" usergroup that did not have access to private messages. Once the user hits a certain number of posts, that restriction is lifted.

I'm sure there's a more elegant solution out there, but mine is quick, simple, and effective.
