Recommend me a cigar or two...

Been smoking off and on for about 4 years

I'm partial to La Gloria Cubana Serie R, and I consider it good, but I know I'm looking for more to make a great cigar.

I also recently had a CAO Maduro that was pretty good, and an Ashton VSG and GREATLY preferred the CAO.

I've probably tried 20 some odd cigars in the last 4 years (or so) but have a terrible memory and can't remember what was good and what sucked...to make matters worse I can remember trying a Punch that was great and the next one sucked, same with Cohiba...

I'm thinking I want something really full, like a CAO Brazilia...maybe a bit milder, like Soprano series

If you want something very full the brazialia isnt even getting into the heavier s***.. What flavors profiles do you like?

I really have no idea

I mentioned the CAO Maduro and Gloria Cubana hoping it would hint at what I'm partial too. I'm really quite the cigar noob, as I haven't done much research at all

Was the serie R a Muduro or natural?

Ok well allow me to suggest some very good maduros to try as well as some things that will help you branch out of the madruos..

First the Maduros you should put on your list:

1. Avo Maduro ( to me this cigar has true maduro flavors of chocolate and coffee)
2. Padron 64 (m) (this cigar not only has the maduro flavors but also a creaminess to it that is very rare to find in a maduro

Now to give yourself a few things to try and branch out try:

Tatuaje, Rocky Patel, Oliva Serie V

See if you like any of them and i can help you from that point.

Padron 64

They were out of the Maduro so I tried a natural. Pretty disappointed in this cigar...seemed mild and very dry.

The only other cigar they had of the ones you listed was the Oliva Serie V, and I'll be smoking that later tonight or tomorrow.

I also tried a CAO Brazilia and it was a decent smoke, maaaaaybe a little dry and a bit "ashy" tasting, but certainly better than the Padron

Im partial to the Maduro, is there something wrong with the conditions of the store you were at because they should not be dry tasting, the natural, though not my favorite, is a very flavorful cigar.

I'm not sure, but there may be...it occured to me as well, as I was expecting alot from the Padron and was disappointed. I will go somewhere else and try again, looking for the Maduro again.

Oliva Serie V - enjoyed this cigar, very smooth. While it was good, I found it somewhat lacking in taste

CAO MX2 - This was a damn good cigar, I thoroughly enjoyed the entire smoke.

Looking forward to a Camacho Triple Maduro I also purchased

I really like the Arturo Fuente reserva real. Also a fan of the Montecristos. Romeo y Juliette is alright, but my least favorite out of the three ive tried so far.

The guy I work with really liked the arturo fuente and didn't like the montecristo or RyJ as much either
