Hey guys, I'm new to the forums so if this is in the wrong section I do apologize in advance. I glanced through and didn't see a better spot.
Recently My Grandfather found a old bottle of gibsons Pure Whiskey that was made in 1916 and bottled in 1928. It dates back to the time of prohibition and says right on the bottle for Medicinal purposes only. It still has the Tax stamp on it.
My grandfather told me to take pictures and if i could find a way to sell it, to see what it could bring in.
So I'm looking for a few things. I'm looking for information on what would be the best way to go about selling it. I know, through some research that to do so over the internet can be difficult but might be possible.
Also maybe some one knows of a fair value for it? Would dumping the alcohol out decrease it's value? That way i could sell the bottle as is?
Also if any one knows of any other bigger alcohol forums where i might have better luck that would be appreciated.
Here are the pictures that i took.
