Macallan 12 yr.
Jeebus, that's good stuff. Worthwhile experience, IMO.
Served to me on the rock by recommendation of the bar's owner. $10 a glass, oh well. If I'd have known the price, I would have savoured the flavor for a little while longer. My Gentleman Jack was comped because it was the last of the bottle, so I won't complain.
Oh, it's a scotch whiskey. If you didn't guess by the name

Really? The PLCB lists a 750ml for $47. Knob Creek lists at $28.
67.8% higher price than Knob Creek
$10 for Macallan. 67% would be $6.70. That's about what Knob Creek would cost. Blame Rendell.
Now, the $8.50 that Houlihan's charges for Jim Beam Black charges. That's a rip off.

Macallen's bite is reduced severly and the flavor opens up quite alot with a shot of water. its one of the more responsive ones to a water injection.

Maybe I should just buy a bottle.
I've got to suffer through this Eagle Rare first.
