Mixed fruit?

I've heard of people taking canned fruit and replacing the syrup with alcohol. Has anyone ever tried this? If so, what were proportions that you used (syrup to alcohol)? What type of alcohol?

I've heard of people putting cherries and pears in moonshine and then eating the fruit to get drunk. Same basic concept I guess.

If I were going to try the canned fruit I'd just drain out the juice and fill it back up with everclear.

We've done it with Everclear and cherries... We always just drain half the juice fill it up with everclear and let it sit for while then enjoy.

I don't know about mixed fruit but we used to cut a little hole in a watermelon shove a bottle of your favorite liquor in the hole and set so the bottle is upside down for a day or two. Now that's a good watermelon!!!
