Medicinal Note

A few years back during my sophomore year of college my buddy and I came across a strange alcohol and have not been able to find it ever since. It had a reddish color and was contained in something similar to a clear bleach bottle which said "medicinal note." It had a very strong cinnamon taste to it and was unbearable for some to drink. I think my buddy got it from some restaurant for a few bucks or something. Anyway we have not been able to find it ever since and there is no reference to it anywhere on the web. Any ideas as to what we were drinking? Let me know.
