You can almost certainly find a shaker at your local walmart(as much as I despise them) or most any department store that stocks kitchen type things. The shaker will usually come with a jigger, which is that little steel measuring tool the guy used. These things aren't typically expensive.
However, if you don't plan on making frequent use of them, you could probably get by on any sort of measuring device that measures ounces (a standard shot is usually one and a half ounces). To mix, substitute any container that can be sealed, but you may have to strain the shot.
But, if you feel it necessary to look professional, go ahead and by the mixing stuff. It shouldn't set you back that much
