Was recently tossed a bottle of this stuff by my sales rep and just opened it this evening. I must say, it is awesome. Had it with some baked ziti, while it complimented dinner nicely, I finished the rest off the bottle of for dessert.
Vina Alarba Old Vines Grenache $6.49/750 ml
Cherry and plum comes to mind. Hints of raspberry. Soft tannin flavor, which is crucial especially when introducing reds to folks that are used to whites of any kind. Had my sister try this stuff with dinner who's used to drinking sweeter whites. She loved it. All around very easy to drink, great flavor. As well, at $6.49 a bottle on sale for good Spanish wine, who can argue with value to boot? Surely will be picking up a bottle or two for dinner with the rest of the family this coming Sunday.
