Before you go off calling him a f**got like some kind of know it all hardass, perhaps you should learn that Johnny Walker is a SCOTCH. While Scotch is technically a type whiskey, people who know have any semblence of what they are talking about would never referer to scotch as a whiskey, especially Johnny Walker.

Potent: Try Chivas. It's a great scotch in the same price range (I think). I'm a big fan of green label. It's a great scotch, but a bit too expensive to drink regularly for me. I really like to have green label neat. It really helps bring out the flavor.

I'll definitely try the Chivas. A buddy and I usually do the Blue Label (by the glass) when we go up to the Crow's Nest (at the top of the Captain Cook hotel in Anchorage.) But I'm not about to spend the coin on a bottle of it for my casual consumption right now.

On the rocks is where it's at for scotch The more ice the better. For better scotches, I like it neat to bring out the taste, as I said above.

Now that you've discovered the wonderful world of scotch on ice, and you obviously like it, try stepping up to some more refined drinks.

Black label is tolerable, but you'll really enjoy some better stuff. Red label is for mixed drinks (too crappy to drink straight/ice/neat) and black label is just a step above that.

What does a glass of Blue cost? $40-50? A bottle of Green Label is like $60

I think we typically pay $46/glass for it. Very good stuff.

The black label I figure is nice enough to keep a bottle on the fridge as an evening night cap, without worrying about enjoying it to often.

Ok, there's having money and there's being idiotic. Anyone that spends $46 for a glass of scotch is a dope.

Ah, I see what you're referring to now. It was moved from the Barstool to here. There's no indication in the thread that it was moved. I had to be in the Barstool itself to see that.
