Default Who knows about The Macallan

I got this for my uncle as a gift......

The f***er set me back $1000. Now i have three questions.

How does this taste compared to the 18 21 25 etc... and will my uncle like it. (He only drinks the Mac and has tasted the 25, but im not sure about the 30)

Whenever i look at the 30 year old pictures online, I can only find the "Fine Oak." The one i have doesnt say Fine Oak, but doesnt say sherry either so im guessing its a mix of both. Does this effect the taste at all or anything.

What is the best way to enjoy this drink. (Anything that you eat with it or prior to it to enhance the taste?)

Wow. I can't answer your questions, but I imagine it's incredible.

Lol, me neither. Except for the best way to drink it I guess. The most common consensus that I have found to drink any single malt is either neat or with a splash of water added. It all depends on the person.

You appear to have the Sherry Cask, which would be my personal preference and would be the most traditional:

The Macallan ® - Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky

(compare with Fine Oak: The Macallan ® - Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky)

Can't comment on taste unfortunately but I think your uncle is pretty lucky

That would be aged in Sherry casks, the Fine Oak would say Fine Oak on the label and have an oak tree on the box.

Sorry for the repeat postings, it didn't seem like it was accepting them.
