Default Homemade peppar vodka.

Ingredients:

1 quart 80 proof vodka.
1 Jalapeno, sliced into quarters vertically.
1 clove of garlic, minced.

I haven't had a bloody mary in ages. I'll mix this with some tomato juice in about a week and let you guys know how it turns out.

Just use whatever you normally drink.

The website that I got the idea for this recipe from says "premium".

I'd imagine a better (cleaner) vodka would pick up more flavor.

Are you looking to make a vodka to drink straight, or are you looking to make a vodka to mix for bloody marys?

I'm doing the latter, so the quality of the vodka going into the process isn't all that important.

I'm using a local vodka that's on the same quality level as Smirnoff, I reckon, maybe Skye.

Depending on affinity of the flavor being leeched, it might be better to extract in 190+ pr neutral grain spirit and blend back. The 190 pr neutral grain spirit is frequently used for flavor and essential oil extraction.
