Well, just some general info first. This is a 90 proof Kentucky bourbon, aged 8 years. I bought it for $16.99 (a dollar or two above Beam around here). I bought it with the hope it would be a poor-mans Jim Beam Black.
Unfortunately, it does not meet with the quality of said beverage. However, it is at least a competent bourbon. The nose, and taste were a robust bit of ethanol, but the back end of the sip was a decent corn whiskey taste. I wouldn't really recommend drinking it neat, but it is competent in soda.
Overall, it's slightly more expensive than Beam, but also has a bit more abv. So it's really up to your personal preference which to buy
