In late December/early January, I have to deal with hanukkah and her birthday. Then in mid-January we have our one-year "anniversary" (

I just learned that I have Xmas and her birthday within 1 week of each other

Fortunately, we'll only be dating for 2 months at that point

Unfortunately, I've heard she has a tendency to give over-the-top gifts.

I was going to do one really good gift for her birthday and xmas, but I'm having second thoughts. I was gonna do a cruise + airfare type thing. Should be about $700-800 for both of us. That's $200/gift

(and $400 of it is me going).
