I just finished up making some limoncello... it's in the freezer now, I can't wait until I can get into it

I used some Svedka Vodka a crap load of lemon zest, let that sit for 6 days, and today put the simple syrup in, now its chilling

just had a glass, and it is very nice... I was hoping for a little more lemon flavor because it certainly smells like it, but the vodka really sends the lemon to the back seat which isnt bad. I like it, it seems like it could still be mixed with something light, maybe some sprite not bad for my first go round.

two pounds of lemons zested dump into a mason jar type glass jar with a 750ml of vodka. Leave it in a cabinet for 5-7 days, after that, strain the zest, and put the vodka back in the bottle. take 2/3 cup of sugar mix with 2/3 cup water and simmer it until it completely dissolves. Make sure it looks just like water. let that cool, pour it in the lemon vodka, shake, and put in the freezer for at least 4 hours. You are supposed to drink it like a shot, but you can mix it, I like to use it in bloody marys
