Just tried some Smuttynose Old Brown Dog Ale, its ok not my fav. Tastes similar to the Sam Adams Black Lager and Winter Lager. If you like it heavy and dark this beer's for you. My favorite from Smuttynose though is their Portsmouth Lager, its to

for. For those unfamiliar Smuttynose is a microbrewery from New Hampshire.

Edit: Just realized I should have posted this in the MicroBrew section but oh well guess I was anxious to get the first review in.

i didn't care for that beer either. i like their IPA though.

had it a while ago but i don't remember it tasting like either of the two beers you mentioned.
