Kings Rules

Just curious to see what the general consensus is on the rules for Kings. Seems like everytime I play with new people that the cards mean different things. When I played with all the same people in high school we adopted this system.

A = waterfalls
2 = you
3 = rule
4 = floor
5 = alive
6 = pick someone
7 = heaven
8 = straight
9 = rhyme time
10 = questions/catergories/i've never
J = guys
Q = ladies
K = social

So how do you guys play your Kings?

we've always called it "nine's a rhyme"

ace= thumb master... someone's automatically thumb master... you dont have to wait for someone to make it a rule... also pretty much gives you another rule card because someone ALWAYS uses a rule card to become thumb master

2= you

3= me

4= w****s

5= jive.... everyone takes turns saying one word in order, clock wise from the person that pulled the card... (one frog jumped in a hole, two two frog frog jumped jumped in in a a hole hole, three three three... etc etc)

6= d***s... but if you're playing with stupid girls you can change it to "chicks"

7= to the left

8= great (social)

9= rhyme

10= waterfalls

jack= rule

queen= questions

king= categories

that's how we've always played... seems like it's pretty much the basic rules for anyone i've played with, except when I went to california... they had stupid rules and ended up adopting mine

We always played with dice and called the game "Three Man". Every group plays a little differently though.

Everyone sits in a circle. The first order of business is to determine the Three Man. This is done by each player rolling a die in turn. The first to roll a three becomes the Three Man (see below for variation with the Beer Helmut.)

The player to the left of the Three Man goes first, and play continues in a clockwise direction. The player then rolls both dice and acts according to the following combinations:
1:1 Doubles - see below
1:2 Three man drinks (sum to 3)
1:3 Three man drinks (three on die)
1:4 Thumb to table or floor (playing surface)
1:5 Index finger to side of nose.
1:6 Player to left of roller drinks (7 left/11 right)
2:2 Doubles - see below
2:3 Three man drinks (three on die)
2:4 Pass turn
2:5 Player to left of roller drinks (7 left/11 right)
2:6 Pass turn
3:3 Doubles - see below; three drinks twice
3:4 Three man drinks; player to left of roller drinks
3:5 Three man drinks
3:6 Three man drinks; Social
4:4 Doubles - see below
4:5 Social
4:6 Pass turn
5:5 Doubles - see below
5:6 Player to right of roller drinks (7 left/11 right)
6:6 Doubles - see below

However, if on the Three Man's turn, s/he rolls a three or combination thereof, s/he is no longer the Three Man and then can designate any other player as the new Three Man. (This also includes if the Three Man rolls during a doubles give; see below)

Social: Everybody drinks

Doubles: The roller has the option of giving both dice to one player or one dice to two players. Whatever the case, the dice are rolled and the number on the dice is what that person(s) have to drink. (ie. roller gives the dice to Y and Z. Y rolls a 3 and Z rolls a five, Y drinks 3, Z drinks 5. Or Y gets both both dice and rolls a 3:5, Y then drinks 8.) However, if the given dice roll to doubles, the original roller has to drink that amount. But the original roller also keeps the turn.

To condense everything:
Total of 7 player to right of roller drinks
Total of 11 player to left of roller drinks
Total of 9 Social
Any 3 or sum to 3 Three man drinks
1 and 4 thumb on floor
1 and 5 finger on nose
Doubles give 'em away

Kings Cup or Kings Whatever is very simple and is a fun drinking game, the General rules are as follows:

You lay the cards in a circle face down on a table and everyone sits around the circle and takes turns drawing cards. There are many variations on the rules for each card, some are posted above, but in general the rule is "Do the action for the card or drink" It is a slower moveing game which makes it fun for the ladies.

Round these parts Presidents and a******s is a similar, but different game. We play em both.

Both are definatly good games. I like to play em right when I get to a party to get the beer flowin' good. Seems like there is always a one game tolerance for people though. Can't ever get through the second game without someone pissing everytime it's their turn, or leaving the room to talk on the phone, etc.

the way my friends and i play is

A: waterfall or social (dependin on how big of pussies your playin with)
2:you
3:me
4:floor (last person to touch the floor drinks)
5:guys
6:chicks
7:heaven(last person to raise their hand drinks)
8:straight( person straight across from you drinks)
9: bust a rhyme(person who picks up the card says something then the people around them tries to say something that ryhmes with it, if they screw up, they drink)
10:catagories (the person that picks the card thinks of a catagory ex. sex positions, ice cream flavor anything, the person who cant think of anything drinks)
J:never have i ever....( every1 holds up 3 fingers and the person who drew the card says things they've never done, if u have done it u put down a finger the person who has all there fingers down first drinks)
Q:questions( u look at some1 and ask them a question, they arent suppost to answer instead they look at someone else and ask them a question any question at all to throw them off. if the person cant think of a question or they answer a question they drink)
K:make a rule( you can make up any rule no mater how crazy... if a person forgets to follow a rule they drink. ex. if for instance you say one rule is u can only pick ur drink up with your left hand and some1 does it with their right they drink until they get it right)

We also play with the Jokers from time to time. Jokers are like Ace's except you can make someone else down their drink.

Here is the method I've always played. We place a large cup or pitcher in the middle of the spread out cards. Values are as follows:

red Aces: pass out 14 drinks
black Aces: Drink 14
2 - 6 red: pass out the value on the card
2 - 6 black: drink the value on the card
7's: Get out of jail free card (use this card any time during the game and you can put the card back in the card pile, then shuffle the cards and draw again)
8's: If you draw an 8, you can choose anyone else in the game to draw a card and they must drink the value on the card. A seven cannot be used by that person to get out of the drink. We say "8 is fate".
9's: Social
10's: Waterfall in any direction
Jack's: Rule
Queen's: Thumbmaster
King's: The one who draws a king pours as much or as little of his/her current drink or beer in the cup in the middle. The person that draws the fourth king drinks the cup and this ends the game.

It's real interesting when you have liquor drinkers and beer drinkers playing at the same time. That center cup can get nasty, and warm if the game takes a while to play.

hey i just put together the best rules!

a combination of the ones we play and a few of the ones you guys said lol

here goes

A: waterfall
2: ducky fuzz (each player goes around in a circle saying duckyfuzz (to the right) untill someone says fuzzy duck (to the left) it continues changing direction whenever anyone changes the setting, and then whoever mucks it up drinks)
3: cant look that person in the eye
4:touch the floor
5: do a jive (someone does a bit of a move n the next person does the same but adds something on, third person does the first two moves adds something on.... whoever stuffs it drinks)
6: never have I ever....(played with 3 fingers)
7: sevens (everone starts counting in a circle, but every number containing a seven or multiple of seven is replaced with 'sevens')
8: drinking mate
9: nines a rhyme
10: RULE
J: viking master, then thumb master, then song master, then freeze master (each are assigned and remain so throughout the entire game and can start it whenever they want, viking muts thumbs on their head like a viking and everyone starts rowing - last person drinks, thumb m:can put their thumb in any position (not disrespecting ppl tho) - they can also leave the table to do so, last person drinks, freeze m: freeze in a certain position, last one drinks, song m: sings a line of a song, next person sings the next line, the person who stuffs it up drinks)
Q: queens a theme (eg cars, goin round naming them etc)
K: lick n stick the card to your forehead, put 1/3 of ur drink in the kings cup, last K drinks it


so yeh its a bit more complicated but alot more fun
should be alrite if a list is kept in someones wallet or whatevs

J-Never have I ever(Everytime you have done something that someone says you have to drink, first person to drink 3 times, has to kill their beer)
Q-Question(yes or no question, if its no, the person asking has to drink, if its a yes the person being asked just drinks and doesnt have to answer)

These are some Ohio Rules. But I have found people play differently even in the same area.

Ace is a rule. Which means you make up a rule. Like the "rink, rank, drunk" rule which means that you can't say "drink, drank, or drunk." There are a ton of fun rules that can be commonly known or made up. Who ever brakes the rule takes as many drinks as the rule-maker decided upon.

King- pour some of your drink into the center cup and who ever draws the last king has to drink the center cup and ends the game.

Queen is a question. The person to draw the queen asks a question to any player who has to continue by asking another player another question. The questions can be random and do not have to answer the previous question. Who ever does not come up with a question takes one drink.

Jack is back. That means the order switches backwards.

10 is water fall. The person who drew it stars drinking and so does everyone else. You can't stop drinking until the person before you does and the one who starts also stops the water fall.

9 is a rhyme. Say a random word and everyone else has to rhyme with it. Who ever can't think of a word has to drink.

8 is a category. The person who drew the card makes up a category (ex. shoes) and people have to say something that belongs to that group (Nike, Manolo, jimmy choo, etc.)

7 is a social. Everyone cheers and takes a drink.

6 is for d***s. All boys take one drink.

5 is "Never have I ever". Everyone plays five fingers and who ever looses takes one drink.

4 is for w****s. All girls take one drink.

3 red to the head. If it's red take three drinks.

3 black is pass out. If it's black pass out three drinks to someone. You can pass them out to different people.

2 red to the head. If it's red take two drinks.

2 black is pass out. If it's black pass out two drinks to someone. You can pass them out to different people.

Ace- water fall everyone drinks and you cant stop until the person before you stops.
Two- is for you. pick anyone you want to drink . its a good way to get back at people and get them f***ed up lol
Three - Is for me. this means the person who picked the card drinks.
Four -Touch the floor. last person to touch the floor drinks
Five- All guys drink
Six-All ladies drink
Seven - Reach for the heavens. Last person to put their hand up drinks.
Eight- Pick a date. Choose anyone to drink along with you.
Nine-Bust a rhyme. Say a sentence and someone has to say your sentence along with a sentence that rhymes whoever cant do it drinks.
Ten- Sentence . Each person says a word to make a sentece but you have to say everyones word that went before you.
Jack- Never have i ever.Everyone puts up three fingers.then the person who picked that card has to say somethiong they NEVER done before. like i've never given a blowjob. Everyone that has done that. must put a finger down. who ever has no fingers left first drinks.
Queen-Question. You must ask someone a Q. and they have to ask someone a Q and so on and so on. who ever takes to long or cant ask a Q drinks.
King - Make a rule. This is the best card to get. you can seek revenge on someone or do whatever you want. Such as making someone sit under the table for the rest of the game. Or when i was a teenager we would drink at a park and everytime a car would drink by you would have to drink. be creative.
