Default Mr. Beer

I saw one of these at Hastings today and was wondering if they are actually worth the effort both time and money wise? Just doesn't seem to me that you could get any kinda good brew from a plastic barrell. Anyone with any experience with these willing to give me a little review?

The Mr. Beer kit is still a good kit. It's as basic as it gets but it can still make good beer. They have all kinds of recipes and whatnto on their website. I started with that kit and now have a 5 gallon bucket I use with all the other stuff I need as well. The best way to start homebrewing is to look up a homebrewing supply store in your area and just go talk to them. They will give you advice on where to start and what you need to buy. There is also a great book to read about homebrewing. It's a very easy and good read and you don't have to read the whole book in order to get started homebrewing. It also tells you what you need, what to buy, the basics you need to know to get started, as well as all of the complicated stuff. The book is here....... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/006...lance&n=283155
