Darkbeer Rules

I had a sip of some oatmeal stout something or another the other day and it was awesome. not at all as strong as i expected it to be. i expected to feel like i was drinking beer again for the 1st time but this was awesome. i have no other info. ill try to find out satruday when i go to the bar for football.

i need to try some dark beer ive never had any to my knowledge (which doesn't mean I didn't drink some when I was trashed)

Dark beer is a real mans beer. Not that pisswater that some people drink...

That stuff still has it's place. They're not connoisseur's beer, but at large parties, you generally want cheap stuff. When im chilling by myself, or with a few buds, that's when the good beer(or liquor) is brought out. Blaydeman, you should try to lay your hands on a beer called Worldwide Stout, by the brewery Dogfish Head. It's one of the best darks ever brewed imo

I might have to locate that one and try it. I won't subject friends to cheap american pisswater. I'll have a better selection in my fridge. As i don't throw huge parties its a non-issue.

im going to get in on a beer of the month club or a sampler pack. dogfish head and yuengling are at the top of my list.

You should try Unibroue Edition 2005 if you can find it.

THAT is how dark beer should be made.

Very rich... a little syrupy. No burnt taste, and a lot of body.

Look for Imperial Stouts, those are the best dark beers I've tried.

Agreed but I will still drink because you in a bar you can't find anything better most times. I've been hitting up the Michelob ultra ambers at the bowling alley lately.
