Default Some beers I've tried recently.

Affligem. It's a Belgian Blonde. Brewed in Opwijk, Belgium. Brewed by Belgium monks dating back to 1074, it's an excellent beer. A bit more hoppy and bold than the LFDM, it's a delight to the taste buds. Not as strong % wise as the LFDM, but a great beer nontheless.

Delirium Tremens. Possible the best name for a beer ever. This is the one that was brewed close to my former residence in Belgium, Ghent. A VERY good beer. I may even like it more than the LFDM. Brewed since 1654, at 8.5% it's a little less stout than the LFDM, but the flavor is absolutely amazing. Less hoppy than the Affligem, it still has a very robust flavor that is pleasing to the palet. Light in color, though not as light as an American light beer, it's flavor may be second to none. Very little aftertaste, though the initial taste is quite strong, but pleasing. The aroma is stonger than the taste would indicate. A very pleasing beer overall, maybe my new favorite.

Rasputin Stout, or something like that. Didn't like this one at all. 9% IIRC, but had a very strong alcohol aftertaste, almost like whiskey. Too dark for my tastes I suppose, didn't like it at all.

I tried the Rasputin Stout recently, as well. And your sentiments were my sentiments, as well. Seemed to me to taste similar to those Barley Wines. As you said, very strong alcohol aftertaste.

It reminded me of some homemade wine I tasted before. No thank you.
