That's prolly because you were drinking s***ty tequilla. Take a shot of Patron Silver or Don Julio Blanco.

sauza is pretty good straight. I drink about 2/3 of a 750ml bottle on my birthday. A friend got a picture of me passed out hugging the toilet that night

I don't usually have a problem with it. I mean, it's not the worst thing in the world, but salt and lime do help a lot. And I don't like chasers, kind of ruins the point of taking them for me.

Lightweight.
I like Milagro Silver, its not too expensive and its pretty smooth. I usually will drink a 5th in less than a couple 3 hours. Here lately Ive been drinking the 1.75 ML bottles and Ill drink 2/3 of that in one night.

I wanna start exploring more tequila and scotch, but my bankroll isn't fat enough to justify it yet

It sucks because last year I visited my bud in New Mexico, and we went across the border and got some Corralejo Anejo for like under $20. As opposed to around $50 here

Haven't had teguila in probably 8 years. It was pretty good from what I remember. Need to pick some up some time.

I can not do the training wheels (lime and salt) with tequila and usually I don't like it in mixed drinks either. Only straight up for me.. I agree with others the better tasting stuff definitely will cost you more.

I've been getting the Sauza anejo commeritivo for about 40 for 1.75. It makes a good mixer, but a little harsh for shooting.
