Default Girardet 1999 Estate Baco Noir

Opened a bottle of this tonight, and man.. I was really impressed with this wine. It's a really oddball grape, and a very unique flavor, but I really loved it.

Rather bold, and a strong flavor of black cherry... the nose on it has a hint of coffee... I found myself going back for several glasses of it.

I would say this would be a good wine to serve with steak, or meat dishes..

Highly recommend this one.

Dunno, I didn't buy it.

Girardet is an Oregon winery.

Looks like 2005 is the current vintage... so I'd say you'd probably not be able to even buy this wine any more.

I've been finding a lot of this lately, I've stored some wines for quite a long time, this one was outstanding after being stored that long.

They sell wines over the web, so you could buy the 2005 from them now for $25/bottle.. I have not tried it.
