La Fin Du Monde $6.99 for a 750mL bottle
also Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale $10.49 for a 6-pack
LFDM was worth it, I didn't like the SN Bigfoot too much.

La Fin Du Monde, I dont remember how much it was though. I also had to buy a brandy snifter, so that added to the expense. Definatly not worth it, the taste was far too complex for me.

Flying Saucer Winter Solstice. Think it was about 12 dollars and split 2 between a few people.
It was pretty damn good, but not really worth the price.
Would have bought a 20 dollar Unibroue Edition 2005 when i Washington but the bar was out of em.

Anyone have any idea what the most expensive beer is? I seem to remember that Sam Adams made a special beer that was close to $200 a bottle. Anyone know anything about this?

I'm probably way off, but I remember that it was really expensive. It may have retailed for ~$100, but it was selling on eBay for ~$200.

That's the beer I was thinking of. What made it so "special", though?

Well, for starters it was 24% abv. It was also aged in a few different types of barrels and came in a nifty bottle.

Well I paid $10.00 for a 12 oz bottle of Worldwide Stout by Dogfish Head, then I found it later for $7.99 It wasn't worth $10 but it was worth the 7.99 Or you could say the bottle of Sam Adams Chocolate Bock, that was $15.99, but came in something like a 25 oz bottle, and being as it was the tastiest beer I have ever had, I would say it was worth it.

I do believe you would get on a plane just to try new beer Not sure if you tried the Chocolate Bock I mentioned above, but if you see it, it's damn worth a try. It's too bad she can't send them to through the mail. I was planning on sending you those beers that one time, but the UPS guys are creeps, they check s*** thoroughly around here.

It's cool. I only cursed you for a couple days Really it's kind of a pain in the ass to do anyway. I haven't seen that Chocolate Bock anywhere yet. I do know about it and have heard nothing but good things. When I see it though, I will definitely be buying it

if you are in Dallas, check the Goody Goody on Greenville past Park Lane. Best beer selection I've seen yet around here and it's still at grocery store prices.

The Flying Saucer sells something that's around $28 a bottle, though I've never been drunk enough to actually order it. Most expensive I've had was probably some oatmeal stout I can't even remember the name of.

Yeah the Chocolate Bock is a REALLY limited edition. The guy at the liquor store told me they only produce it every few years ( and then in limited quantities), not sure how accurate that is, but he does the ordering so I assume he knows what he's talking about. Tastes like a nice dark beer with an aftertaste that resembles a Rocher chocolate, DO NOT pass it up if you come across it.

And they also only brew a very minimal amount each year.

It was like $11 or $12 for one. High Gravity, too...like 9.8% alcohol.

Westvleteren Abt 12 will be, once I order it (~$20) a bottle.
Most expensive so far is a belgian ale (name escapes me) that was only $10 a bottle. Sadly it tasted like skunk piss.

I think the place I go here locally is kind of expensive but it's the closest and it's locally owned so I guess I'm doing my part. I go to World Market sometimes but there beer is limited. They have most of the good stuff but never have anything new and exotic to try.

Apparently it was $25 pitcher night last week at the bar, 2 pitchers of blue moon and an appetizer and I had a $60 tab.
