How Much Everclear (151) Does It Take To Get Drunk?
Just wondering. Never had it before. It's not my first time drinking or anything, I'm just used to stuff that's less than 40% alcohol by volume, so I don't know what to expect (other than more alcohol?)
I also bought some Bacardi 151 and Yukon Jack. I'm going to browse the forums for good ideas of what to do with them.
^ just did a search for "alcohol forum" because I had this question. I posted an intro just now anyway.
Well, my tolerance is probably fairly low since I don't drink often. I used to have really high tolerance a while ago when I was going to parties almost every night.
Okay, well since you can't really answer my question, how about this: How Much Everclear Does It Take To Kill Yourself?
Or, what is the highest blood alcohol level that you can have at say age 22-24? Or does this also depend?
Nah, my Everclear is 75.5% alcohol. The 190 proof is illegal in my state, I wish I could get that stuff though. You guys are both in LA. Welcome to my world in California, we have a plethora of laws and regulations. I've heard there are places in LA (your state) where you can order absinthe at bars.
Hey Shorty, that site doesn't seem as accurate as I thought it would be. It says if I drink 120ml of Everclear I will have a blood alcohol concentration of .0238? Seems off. I guess I'm just going to have to experiment for myself. I'll let you guys know how it went.
This is the worst idea ever. I'm so trashed right now. I can type, yes, but it's 10:30AM and I feel worse than I've ever felt. I had 2 shots of Everclear, a couple Jack Daniels, Yagers, I have no idea what. I barely remember last night and I still feel drunk right now, it is terrible.
No more drinks for me for quite a while, I don't even know how I got home or where my car is. This headache is killing me.
This is probably the worst hangover I have ever had, I threw up over 10 times last night, and I still feel like throwing up. Everclear is much stronger than I thought.
To be at or around the legal limit you need to limit yourself to 3 beers per hour or 3 shots or a combination. If you slam a bunch of high potent shots you'll get drunk extremely fast.
I also wouldn't recommend shooting Everclear just to get drunk. It's good to have one or two and then take it easy. It will give you a good buzz off the bat. We call it, "getting primed" before we go out.
Why the smilie? Evrclear is 95% not 75%. Bacardi 151 is about 75% and thats not Everclear. And Bacardi is the only company I know of to make 151 proof.

have u read the thread? no one was calling you wrong. they were just saying in some states 150+ proof is illegal. just because its sold in your state doesnt mean its sold elsewhere.

In the United States, Everclear is a brand of grain alcohol (ethanol), available at concentrations of 95% alcohol (190 proof) and 75.5% (151 proof) [1]. By contrast, hard liquors such as rum and vodka generally contain 40% alcohol (80 proof). Everclear is manufactured by Luxco (formerly the David Sherman Corporation) [2].
If anyone is wondering where the posts concerning beer sales in PA went, they can be found here, Purchasing Beer in Pennsylvania. I didn't want to hijack this thread with that discussion. Plus, I really wanted to test out my new abilities.

no, you were wrong again, everclear doesn't exist in a 99% form, just 190 proof and 151 proof that's been said throughout the thread.
johnny why are you surprised he's not dead? by the sound of it he had about the equivalent of 10 80 proof shots, which while a decent amount for someone who doesn't drink much- isn't going to kill a grown man over the period of a night.
oh any this is by far the best BAC calc i've found anywhere on the net.
