Default best sweet and sour mix for margaritas...

don;t buy the store bought s*** because it all sucks.

At work we fresh squeeze lemon and strain the juice until we get about 2 inches in the bottom of a gallon container like a milk container. Then add about 12 oz. of sugar and fill it with water. You can kinda of adjust the meon juice and sugar to taste but it should come out pretty good and be pretty cheap.

oh and with lemon and lime juice would suck to do if you are squeezing your own fruit....you know how many limes you'd have to squeeze?

Sometimes it'll give it a different taste. Also, if you're making more than a few margarita's it'd prolly be easier to use the syrup than the sugar.

well the recipe should make a whole gallon so you can make a ton of margaritas with it.

Also when I make margaritas I usually do the whole tequila, (cointreau or triple sec) sweet and sour and then I squeeze a lime wedge in it...
