Irish Wake
This is the recipe that is used at McGuire's Irish Pub in Florida. They're quite tasty and will kick your ass...
1 1/2 ounces of Bacardi Light Rum
1 1/2 ounces of Bacardi Gold Rum
1 1/2 ounces of Blue Curacao Liquor
Orange Juice to taste
1 ounce of Bacardi 151
These are typically served in a large mason jar... Add the light rum, gold rum and blue curacao then fill with orange juice and stir. Top with the Bacardi 151. Enjoy.

Why is that called an irish wake? It's basically a rum runner.

Because it is served at McGuires. Nothing at McGuires is normal (even the restrooms are marked backwards. )

Went to McGuire's in Pensacola last night to celebrate my 57th birthday. Quite a crowd there. Had to wait an hour to get in, but weather was great and we enjoyed a few Irish red beers brewed on-site in McGuire's own brewery. One of the bagpipers played "Happy Birthday" to me on his pipes. Once inside, had to get the Irish Wake. (It's required on one's birthday !) Upon leaving, it's also traditional to kiss the Moose. Hell, by then I couldn't even see the friggin moose, let alone kiss it !! Beware, the Irish Wake is delicious but LEATHAL ! If you're ever in beautiful Pensacola, stop by McGuire's. It's a fun place to hang-out, but don't even think about it on St. Paddy's Day! Can't get near the place ! We locals start planning for that upcoming event on Mar 18th !! Come join us!!

Mmm...
I live in Pensacola, Florida- Mcquires has fabulous food- and their Irish Wakes are quite potent! Per the menu- you are only aloud 2 of these per visit. Great place! Oh and their orange juice is fresh squeezed!
