Some buddies of mine invite me out to this lounge/bar thing near the UNLV campus for a jazz night. I go, we get a pitcher of some hefenweizen... I go to the bar to order some food and see they have a beer menu, and im talking like 4-500 beers long that they stock all highly rated beers.

So of course, I get a unibroue... they had like 9 or 10 of the beers that they make.. I get one of the most better known ones that i could remember a 'la fin du monde'..

great beer, but im a big hef fan also.. which surprises me, because i made a thread asking who was a hef fan, and I didn't get a lot of positives.

This beer taste like a hef with an apple after taste. Am i wrong? I had smoked a little bit before going in so my senses were tripled.

It was a great beer, not dark at all. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised and agreed with all the positives people give it.

Next up was the other one I remembered hearing a lot about, the Maudite. At this point of the night I was feeling pretty good, and my senses were on all fours. I don't remember exactly what the beer tasted like but it was great. Definitely another beer I would recommend.
