Does anybody really like Heineken?
Or is it just swill with an incredible marketing scheme?

I'd vote both 'yes' and 'no' if I could. (I voted 'yes' BTW.)
Heineken does have an odd taste. I used to hate it, but now I like it okay - don't love it, don't hate, but do drink it from time to time.
Sometimes I switch up on (regular) Heineken and Heineken Dark. I've tried Heineken Light, but don't think I liked that all that much.

No. It has been a while since I've tried one, but I'm just not a fan of green bottle lagers, especially pale lagers and even light pale lagers.

I voted yes. The new Heineken lights are better though.

I'm not a big fan, but at the same time I'm a desperate college student so I pretty much drink whatever is put in front of me.

Not I. Can't stand the s***. Never could drink it. Even when I could/would drink Bud Light/Miller Lite and such, absolutely couldn't drink the Heinie.

I'm not a fan at all. To even finish one I have to be pretty toasty.

My father in law, who has all the wine tasting skills in the world, actually tells me with a straight face Heineken is the best beer in the world. I give him DFH 60 and 90, various Uni types, Left Hand stuff, I mean you name it and he says they suck.
Basically he knows his s*** on the wine side but is a dolt with beer.

Different strokes for different folks. He may not like the hoppy beers, give him a GOOD Belgian Strong Ale and see what he says.

Now the world don't move to the beat of just one drum
What might be right for you, may not be right for some
A man is born, he's a man of means
Then along come two, they got nothin' but their jeans
But they got Diff'rent Strokes
It takes Diff'rent Strokes
It takes Diff'rent Strokes to move the world
Everybody's got a special kinda story
Everybody finds a way to shine
It don't matter that you got not a lot- so what?
They'll have theirs, you'll have yours and I'll have mine
And together we'll be fine,
Cause it takes Diff'rent Strokes to move the world, yes it does
It takes Diff'rent Strokes to move the world!

No...though I have always wanted to buy one of those mini keg things they sell in grocery stores--just to see if it I could drink it all and for a nice momento to add to the bone yard.

Sorry for bumping the thread
I actually tried it for the first time tonight, Bought a case of budweiser & a 24 ounce bottle of Heineken. Before i opened the case i drank the heineken first and i gotta say it wasn't bad at all, It's kinda got a weird smell maybe like a skunk (which i get out of it) but it was pretty damn good
ill have to grab more sometime soon

I can't really stand it.....
But I have to say that I had it while we were on our honeymoon in the Caribbean and it tasted much better there than it does here

Unibroue is Canadian, and they make some amazing beers. Or are you referring to the major producers like Molson and Labatt?

I can't get anything good like Unibroue around here. So, yes I was referring to the skunky Canadian crap.
I want to travel to Ireland and taste some real beer someday

Never tried Molson, but I've downed a sixer of Labatt before. It was fine to my tastes, in terms of your typical mass-produced lager of course. Actually, I think Labatt might be owned by Anheuser Busch now anyway
Tons of real beer here in the states Mich. But you said you can't get stuff like Unibroue, does that mean they don't carry any micro brews around you?

I'd have to drive at least 60 miles to get some good stuff. Thursday the wife and and I are planning a little road trip, so I hope to pick up some good stuff.
