Default Beer Temperature.

What temperature do you serve or drink your beer at? I leave mine in my mud room which is prolly at a a temperature of 40-45 degree's.

I don't know if its kosher but beer thats sat on the counter for a couple hours doesnt bother me when i drink it. I can taste flavors i wouldn't otherwise notice.

Ice cold = less flavor. It numbs the taste buds so you don't actually taste the true flavors of the beer.

Typical beer like bud/miller/coors needs to be ice cold.

better/real beers need to be 45ish and higher depending on the style.

some hefeweizens taste better at fridge temperature, stouts/porters taste better at 55+ etc.

I typically pull a 12oz 33cl or whatever small bottle out of the fridge and let it sit 8 or so minutes before pouring. the larger bomber/bopper bottles that are 1pint and 6-9oz I let sit for 15ish.

i've had a few beers, like spaten optimator (doppelbock like paulaner that bad ls1 had last night) that was out for 20 minutes before pouring, and took me an hour to consume. at room temp or near that, it tasted great.

Bad LS1, you really need to let a few of those beers you purchased last night warm up some. You'll enjoy them alot more and they will taste much better.

Rochefort I drink room temp.

If I drink Guiness, and thats a big if, I wait for it to warm up because it tastes like water when cold.

Do you have the Rochefort 10? or 6? I really want one of each...

I let mine sit out for 15- or so from the frige then pour, but i drink them slow so it gets 'warm'.

I really would like a 10. Anything that I can get in Tx that you are interested in? St. Bernardus perhaps?

We have that here already. Do you have access to any three-floyd's brews at all?

If there are any Creme/Milk or Chocolate stouts round those parts I'd trade for as well.

If not we'll figure a way to get them Belgians to ya.

I'll check this evening, I do not think so.

I'll see if I can get a list from a store on what he can get. He's brought in a few different beers for me before.
