Interesting. I'm sure you're aware of PA and how the state is terrible for alcohol sales of all sorts. Hell, I can't even buy a freaking four-pack of La Fin du monde. I'm forced to buy a whole case which is $50. Luckily, my friend is splitting it with me.

Yep, my best friend used to live in PA. Correct me if im wrong, but I think the beer and liquor stores are separate, and the liquor stores are run by the state, who therefore hold a freakin monopoly on hard liquor. And you have to buy beer from a distributor or something, anyway, he said that you could only buy cases. Is that basically what goes on?

Liquor sales are controlled by the state. Beer sales are done through beer distributors. You can, however, purchase beer at places like Pizza joints, for example; but they have to have a license to sell it. Of course this limits your 6-pack selections to the "typical" beers which is why I'm forced to spend $25 to try LFDM. It better be worth it!

That sucks. But I have had La Fin a few times, and it's definitely worth spending extra on.

I hope so. It's just going to be a b**** finding people to go in on cases with me all the time. My friend finally found a distributor that carries a ton of microbrews, and both of us are really interested in trying them, but alas we're both also poor college students. I'm trying to get my other friends into "better" beers but so far I have failed. Everyone hated the DFH 60 Minute IPA.

Oops, this is the liquor forum; I guess I should stop talking about beer.

Lol Anyway, you could make a beer run down to DE, provided you have the time to spare. Some of the really good liquor stores have quite a few brands of microbrews, a bunch of which can be available in singles. Makes it easier to try different stuff

Where do you work? I live in Kent county, and I couldn't really tell you any stores up north. However, there are at least three different stores that I visit on a regular basis that have a very respectable selection of microbrews.

A local convenience store by my apartment has a good selection of microbrews. My favorite though is a bar in Philly that has over 200 different beers on tap at all times. Anthony when you get in town (and of age....I'm pretty sure you are 21 now) I'll buy you a beer.

I'm up north, on 13 across from the airport.

That's awesome, I really wish they had a place around here like that. With just tons of beer on tap to try.

Yikes I did not mean to say they had over 200 on tap . They carry over 200 at any given time...

When I read that I was like

There are a couple restaurants around me that have large varieties of beers. I love it.
