Now, I normally haven't cared much for the taste of Tennessee whiskey. I think Jack Daniels put me off of the stuff because I didn't like the taste. But now that I have had d***el, I may have to rethink my position. Even at 90 proof and aged 12 years the taste is nice and smooth, but with quite a bite afterwards (a nice bite that is). I even detected a bit of vanilla, my palate isn't the most developed so I derive what I can

. I tried it first neat, then with some water, then on the rocks, and finally splashed a bit of coke in it. All ways were extremely good. This whiskey (they spell it whisky on the bottle) will not disappoint, I picked it up for $17 and it's worth every penny

Now I may have to give JD Single Barrel a try.
