rip van winkle is amazing bourbon, makers is good, i hate tequila, drop the johnnie walker and get some 12 year old glevlivet or macallans or dalmore, much much better scotch, i was not impressed at all with the johnnie walker, get a nice single malt instead, the crown is "meh", i'd get some jim beam black instead, and i hate vodka too

No, I haven't. Honestly, I didn't see the "black" part my first time through. What's the difference?
It's better in every conceivable way than regular Beam except it's a bit more expensive. It's aged longer, it's much smoother, the taste is more complex, and the alcohol content is higher.

Depends on your taste Personally I like both quite a bit. Black is a bit less expensive, so you'll have to do a little contrast and compare to find out which is better for the money.

smelled like whiskey. i havnt been able to pinpoint the taste yet. when i can tell what it is im tasting i will give a detailed review from a beginners perspective.
