BJ's Brewhouse
First, a big thank you to Trendkiller, his recommendation was spot on. The food was great, and the beer, well, the beer was great too.
I had "The Bock" and their porter. Both were outstanding beers in their own category I must say. The Bock is the best "bock" beer that I have ever personally tasted. To say I was impressed with this beer alone would be an understatement. I'm fairly picky of my bock (or even Dopplebock) style beers, and this was excellent. A nice pour, small head, awesome color, sweet aroma, etc, etc. Great.
The porter, perfect pour, almost solid dark brown pour with a 3/8" tan head that was fairly "solid" and creamy. Tasted of coffee, dark chocolate, toffee, and a hint of caramel. Very smooth texture, creamy and nice on the tongue. A nice smooth Porter.
I'll be going back in the near future, they have a few Belgians (bottle fermented) that I can't find elsewhere, but more importantly, 7 or so other 'branded' beers that I didn't try. I planned on trying a flight of their various beers, but landed on the bock. Maybe their bock spoiled me, I don't know, but I'm still salivating thinking about it. (yes, that good)
Thanks again Trendkiller!

No problem! I'm glad you liked the place, it's my favorite place for beer Be careful with the Jeramiah Red and Tatonka Stout though. While they are very good, they will mess you up in a hurry

I was looking at the stout, but like I told you earlier last night, I'm a little hesitant on the imperial stouts. I'll try it again soon.
Still can't get past that bock though. amazing.

There's something I have learned about beer though. One of the first beers I tried was Guiness Draught and I poured that s*** out. Now I'll drink them left and right. What may not be your taste at one time may very well change so give all kinds of beer second chances

Oh I'm sure it will. The IS that I had is considered one of the 50 best beers according to another website.
The first Guiness I had wasn't bad, but it was way too cold, it was at temperature like other nascar beer...
