Default Irony in beer shopping

I get the good stuff from a Whole Foods here, skipping the tofu, organic range fed ostrich, and all that bulls***... but the beer aisle makes me laugh...

On one end we have the 500-750ml bottles of the good stuff - Unibroue, Rogue, Chimay, Lambic, assorted others....

In the middle, 6 and 12 packs of assorted beers, Red Stripe, Flying Dog, Hoegarden (sp), Abita, etc..

And tucked in the corner.. 12 packs of Pabst Blue Ribbon. If that isn't irony! The 4 packs there have probably been sitting since the store opened.

On the flip side, more traditional chains here are picking up the good stuff. While I haven't found Unibroue anywhere else yet, the Sav-A-Center chain picked up Chimay. Of course it's funny seeing 3 linear feet of shelf space for imports/upscale compared to 80 linear feet of NASCAR beer :P

I hear its the opposite up in the NW. Like just a few "nascar" beer sections with 70% or so of the specialty and micros.
