Because its not your style. You like sweet and fruity beers apparently.
IPAs are best suited for Hop heads that like bitter beers.

No matter much beer you drink, IPAs will almost always require an "aquired taste" curve. The first one you drink will taste strange or different. However, if you remain intrigued and keep drinking them, they taste better every time. I've had some bad ones that almost turned me off, but I HIGHLY recommend Dogfish Head 60 Minute to start. If you like that one, I also recommend the 90 Minute.

The first IPA I ever had was DFH 60 Minute. I absolutely loved it, but every single one of my friends I offered it to couldn't stand it. They all thought I was crazy for spending $30 on a case of beer that was so "s***ty." Then again, we're college students so our pallets have acquired a taste for beers such as Natty, Keystone, PBR, etc, etc, etc. Hopefully in time they'll come around. Until then, that just means I don't have to share my good beer.

My first IPA was a Sierra Nevada, I hated it. For my 21st birfday my sister bought me an assortment of craft brews, one of which was Lagunitas IPA. I tasted it, spit the rat piss out, and gave her the rest of the bottle to finish.
I cannot stand hoppy beers at all. Even the Lagunitas Cappuchino Stout (which sounds amazing) had that bitter disgusting hoppy aftertaste to it.

Well, even back when I drank domestic beer I drank Miller Lite, so I guess I like the hoppy flavor.
