Default Chilled or room temperature?

What do you prefer? It's more "kosher" to serve wine room temperature, correct?

And FWIW, I usually prefer mine chilled if I'm drinking it alone, however, if I'm drinking it with a meal I have no real preference.

It completely depends on the type of wine. If you serve them too cold, you won't get the full flavor and aroma that you would at a higher temperature.

Most white wines should be served at around 45F.

Most light reds should be at around 50F.

Most dark reds should be at around 60F.
