Default Hefeweizen!!!

I had a Flying Dog Hefeweizen, and it was horrible, from that i declared that I hate Hefewiezens. So then my roommate bought Sam Adam's Hefewiezen, and I reluctantly tried it but it was amazing! Then I tried Long Shot Hefewiezen, and I liked it even better! So I concluded that Hefewiezen's are awesome but Flying Dog just sucks. So what are other good brands of Hefeweizen to try?

Just go out there and keep trying different breweries' offerings.

Gordon Biersch is by far my favorite Hefeweizen. But its best from the tap

Paulaner, Ayinger, Franziskaner, Erdinger.....all make pretty good Hefe's.

We have a few really good local brews that make a damn good Hef too.

Paulaner along with Erdinger/Ayinger are pretty good, but Franziskaner and the other one I've posted a few times (starts with a W, but no way can i remember how to spell it) are much better IMO.

If you pick up Pyramid/Widmer/Shiner Hefe you'll probably want a lemon wedge around, they need it for the first 1 or 2, then you're good.

Weihenstephaner is VERY GOOD.

Pimp, when you pour a Hefe, pour all but the last 1" or so in the glass. Take the last 1" or so and swirl it around in the glass. You'll see it picks up the sediment, after that has been accumulated in the bottle, pour that on top of the head of the beer down the middle. Its like a yeast shot (some call it that), and makes the beer a little more cloudy.

Be sure and swirl it up, otherwise its amazingly clear. Kinda weird.

Makes a pretty big head too, some say wetting the glass (specifically a weizen glass) will help cut that down.

Hefe's are the only ones to do this with (as far as I know). Belgians are bottle fermented and have sediment at the bottom, but that is not to be poured into the glass.
