Merlot is my favorite kind of wine.
I tend to be more a red wine kinda guy, anyways.

Yellow tail all of a sudden seems to be the biggest of the cheap wines. I see that s*** everywhere around here. I have never tried it though. I am wary about a wine that is in almost every gas station at the counter for $7.99.

For cheap wine it is pretty good. I have not tried the Merlot, but the Shriaz and Chard are decent.

What one should I try? I'm not a big wine guy, in fact I've only had a few, but I'd like to learn a little on different wines and so forth.

we drank a bottle of the merlot reserve last night. It was great!
I'm not much of a white wine drinker, unless I am eating salmon or something.

If you don't have a red/white preference (or don't know about it if you do) I would go with the Pinot Grigio or the Riesling. If you prefer a red, I would go with the Shiraz or the Shiraz/Cabernet.
