Anyone else a huge fan of Long Islands?

I haven't had one in forever and I feel like having some this weekend. Anyone have really great ones or really bad ones?

The worst one was in Tokyo.. the owner of the bar liked us.. and was giving us free booze.. so i ordered a long island.. he made it literally 95% alcohol.. I tried to drink it but he made it way to strong. Plus he wasnt using good alcohols..

I have some very tasty ones in Windsor, but I believe they use some mix. I'll probably have to wait until I'm 21 to have a real one, but I'm looking forward to it immensely.

While I was in the service I would drink 5-7 of them a night.. Mostly the mix ones so they weren't that potent.. I had a friend that was a manager of a bar and one time he decided to make me a pitcher of long island.. it was soo good but way to much booze for me.. so i started pawn it off to other chicks. really good way to meet women.. to bad they all were like this is really good.. then they would call their boyfriends over to taste it and i would then just walk off.

Sometimes they are your best bang for your buck.. where else can you get about 4-5 shots of alcohol for about 4-5 bucks on average.

They are a good drink to have as long as it is made right. Most of the time they end up using too much sour mix or too much tequila which both make it gross.

i got addicted to them back in the day

came into some money, and decided to buy 1.75 top shelf liquors to make them. even went as far to buy the damn tall skinny glass you are supposed to drink them out of

. I was pretty much a full blown functioning alcoholic back then, and I swear to god, 4 of those had me on my ass.

where the f*** do you find a long island for 4-5 bucks? ive never seen them under $7 and more often than not they are $10+

hell, at the bars here they are 7(but f***in potient, and a steal for 6 shots), and at the clubs around 9

There are a few campus bars.. around large schools are the best places in the world to get the best deals on alcohol.

Long Island's are amazingly good when made right. A couple of them and you'll be feeling it in no time.
