Props to you for tryin' something different.
Someday I'll get comfortable enough to actually experiment with my homebrews.

Honestly, that's a big reason I do homebrew. I want to do crazy crap that you don't regularly see in beer stores

Oh I will. I bought my batch yesterday, well most of it. I'm going to buy nonfat chocolate and add it to the wort and then instead of using peppermints, add peppermint extract at bottling. Should be interesting

How long till we have the DFW beer drinkers crew at your place?
I think that sounds like a heck of a brew. Probably a one beer a day type beer for sure.

Well, I threw the Pepermint Porter in bottles last night. I ended up just doing 7 liters of Peppermint Porter and 7 liters of Porter. This morning the bottles are already hard as a rock

It smelled great! I actually used a Left Hand Milk Stout to test the amount of peppermint extract I would use in the bottles and it tasted pretty good. Interesting, but good
