When you have a warranty problem though you get treated great. Unlike the way Berman has been treated with his C6 problems.
I'd say wrong dealership. I'd assume there are less "wrong dealerships" for a BMW though.
I always liked BMW service. Even when I was at a certain company that used BMW parts on their cars, I liked their service (and I was just buying parts- not getting service).
Yeah a 91 325Xi is about on par with a C6 interior
His is s***. His seats were ok, at best. Nothing impressed me. the materials we boring. the ergonomics are TERRIBLE- nothing is where it should be. The gaps are acceptable. Sound damping is inadequate. A few panels have already broke off in 17k miles.
nothing special about it all. If that BMW logo was a bowtie or blue oval- it would suck.

My family has always been treated very well while dealing with BMW's.
And therein lies the problem. Just fine for him is different than just fine for others. Just fine is what fits his argument at the moment.
When you are using a car to DD you general don't take it to the track or anything. So it is fine for on ramps/off ramps and a few turns here and there.

It's relative. Generally, I go to about 85% of the car's handling around corners when I'm being a bit free spirited. I'd take corners harder in a car that handled better.

Sound deadening OUC, i drove a Zo6, that thing didnt have an ounce of sound deadening.
I drove an 06 330 and i liked it. The seats had tons of adjustments (i have a bad back at times). Materials were nice.
The leather actually felt like leather
My C5 seats felt like they were made of a trash bag

That's probably the position I would take if I wanted to ignore performance in favor of luxury and prestige.
I was talking about the 335i debate that just started. I think it's hilarious. Oh, and I echo your thoughts on the C5 - those seats do feel like trash bags. Typical GM garbage.
Whooptie s***, how many people can drive like that, much less will ever drive on the Nring?
Yah, about none of the members here.
It's the same thing as when people suck c*** over the one person that runs an incredible quarter-mile time in a car...and the second best time is about five tenths and two MPH slower.
BMW better than Porsche the only BMW's that are worth a damn are M-series. Even their 7series is highly overrated for their price.
If I had to pick a German car....Mercedes AMG
No, I was talking about the 335i in comparison to the Corvette. And no, none of them are overpriced - go test drive the new 335i and you'll stop spouting nonsense.

I took one out on the autobahn when they came out with the new style a few years ago. Wasn't that impressed. Forget that I was in Germany from '04-'06? I just don't like BMW's at all Rob I find the interior cheaply made compared to its German counterpart.

You bought used cars - or had no issues with new ones?
Used. Each bought with less than 75k miles on them and both run well past 200k. Now before you try, just go ahead and contemplate buying BMW lemons at a ratio of 2 for 2.

All BMWs are lemons. Based on your experiences, I am going to roll in a used Suburban.

I don't think they're all lemons, nor do I think comparing a suburban to a BMW is useful in any sense other than I have used it(build quality). I don't carry around 1,000 italian knives to perform daily tasks just because they have awesome build quality either. There's a balance. Just don't bulls*** yourself or anyone else about the build quality you think is inherent in higher end cars.
They are. There's nothing quite like a Mercedes or BMW dealership/service center. I'll avoid buying American cars if at all possible.
Here's an idea: buy a car that doesn't break enough to make you concerned with the luxury of the dealership. That way you can live in a house that's nicer than the dealership and it will be really nice even when your car isn't broken!
It has more style and prestige. It's about as powerful with an incredibly engineered German powerplant and suspension. The interior materials and quality is tenfold that of the Z06. It's more luxurious.
The fact that the Z06 is three tenths faster in the quarter mile is meaningless. As a whole, it's an inferior car. It's a marginally better performance car, but I want more.
