It is obvious you know so little about the Z06 or its capabilities that you should probably STFU right about now...

post up or shut up
And where did I state I "knew" everything about the Z06? I stated my opinions on what I've read from other posters about that car and made my own statement...whether or not its wrong is irrelevant unless you want to prove me wrong, and when you do I'll concede and say I was wrong Amazing when not all of us are d***s

Because you consistently downplay it in favor of the things I listed(oops, I didn't list buttons on the steering wheel). Performance is of relatively little importance to you.

personally, i don't care what the interior is like, per say, as long as it doesn't rattle and seem cheap.
ie: my foxbody started rattling like f*** now.

ooo I know we are waiting very impatiently here for it. Our OG is like a f***ing school girl after he found out we were being assigned it. Meaning we'll have the very last F-16 to be delieverd to the USAF and the first AD F-35

I can compare my GSXR to my truck- doesn't mean it's reasonable. They compared an evo (RWD Focus maybe?) to a Lambo. Doesn't mean they are competitors in the real world.
s***, they compare cars to F-18's

You guys get the good JSF. that STOVL is a f***ing turd and a waste of tax money.
If it didn't directly employ me, Id rather see the money set on fire. At least this way it might warm some hobos and not COST us military performance. f***ing brittish with their harrier..look what they started

Ahh. Well, the Z06 basically outruns any nontuner car ever made on the Nurburgring. That's a prestigious, industry standard track with lots of turns.

I know what the track is I've been to it. I didn't have the results of the 'vette on the track and I was looking around and couldn't find anything. I can find Ferrari's but thats b/c thats all they do is run that f***ing track

In the end of the day you are still driving a vette though. I wish GM would create a Ford GT type car. Low production car thats different from what you see at ever corner.

Oh I know JD, but thats the point of the argument is that they are still in different playing fields. Yes the Z06 is the best "bang for your buck." But why doesn't Chevy put out a car that could fully compete with those cars in every cat other than performance? Just curious to what ya'll would think of a super 'vette that was in the 6 figures area that had the technology and the money put into the testing to really compete with Ferrari

However, I find C&D to be just as biased as any other magazine would be with their tests. American magazines will praise the 'vette while euro mags will call it the biggest POS ever created (see Top Gear episdoe ) I'm not saying the 'vette is inferior at all. However, its just all opinion when it comes to tests like that. Why I wanted the actual track records to really compare them out.

It needs to be a cadillac, in that case. No one is going to be happy about paying $150k for a chevy.
The GT, due to its racing heritage, defies that rule.

Jeremy Clarkson can love his car all he wants, do you read ferrari, lambo, or other high end exotics forums? 90% of the time when the blue devil/SS/whatever they are calling it is mentioned they say "while it may perform great I can see myself spending $100k on a chevy".

It was a joke. Clarkson had so many problems with his he returned it. What do yo say to that kind of mindless snobbery on such boards? It really illustrates just how removed you people are from objectivity. Of course, I wouldn't pay that much either. I'd put my own blower on.

In the end of the day though you are going home in a vette. If you where driving a C6 Z06 and lost a race to a riced out civic would you care? No because you are going home in the better car. Would you care that the civic cost less to go faster? No because you are going home in the better car.

You need to stop drinking the kool-aid.
I'd be proud to go home in a Vette. Especially after kicking a Porsche's ass out on the street or track.

I'm talking worldly here:
Other countries don't give a s*** about how fast the car goes in the 1/4 mile because they will never hit that fast. Hell even in the autobahn very rarely did you see a Ferrari (less you were in Frankfurt or Berlin) go flying by. People in Europe demand comfort over performance.
For us:
We all crave having that power, but really, unless you are taking it to the track whats the point? Are you really going to hit 200MPH on the interstate? If you plan on it, let me know so I can turn it to FoxNEWS real quick
