It has more style and prestige. It's about as powerful with an incredibly engineered German powerplant and suspension. The interior materials and quality is tenfold that of the Z06. It's more luxurious.
The fact that the Z06 is three tenths faster in the quarter mile is meaningless. As a whole, it's an inferior car. It's a marginally better performance car, but I want more.
Exactly...and in a car like that, I seek the complete package. Nobody can deny the raw performance numbers of the Z06, but the Porsche is just a better overall car when you factor in everything.

You know nothing of engineering.
LS7 > That german powerplant.
more power, more efficient. less complexity. Sorry.
What about The Ring? (honest question) Who is faster?

Don't patronize me when it comes to engineering. You have an undergraduate degree from a mediocre institution. You didn't graduate with honors and you're an overall bad person.

If wanted to factor everything in then cost/value would come into play and the Porsche would lose again.
The styles very rarely change. The most major physical change that has happened in the last decade has been how the headlights were shaped. Before they had more a "frog" type front end, while now its more smooth. The Cayman S is the prime example of laziness. Its like a Boxter and 911 f***ed and its the end result. That car was made sloppy IMO. The boxter is a cheap rendition of the 911, and honestly the 911 is the ONLY car (outside the Carerra GT) that has any sort of styling. Obviously since its German made its made for Euro roads (hence its small size). For the price of a GT2 or even GT3 I'll go get something thats a little more exotic.
On a serious note, I hope they improve the interior of the 2008 Corvette, even if by a small margin. After driving the 335i, I can't think of three good reasons that someone would buy a Corvette over the 335i as a daily driver.
No, we factor in everything I want to factor in. Hence why I win.
Hence why I said you were nonsensical. Your factors are already in: luxurious, quality interior and prestige. Your nonsense has no place in any real comparison.

Unless you are using the Z06 as a track car only his post makes a lot of sense.
Just to clarify, I'm deliberately being antagonistic. I do feel the Porsche is an all-around superior vehicle, but I understand that the price difference can be a significant issue.
That said, price aside, I don't see an argument for the Z06 being superior. Just because it traps 3 MPH faster in the 1/4 doesn't mean it's a better car.

1.Raw power. 335i's motor will probably never make the power ls2 are making
2. Its American made (Even though all its parts arent Getrag rear end )

4. The interior is good enough for most people
You're right about raw power...but with the Vishnu ECU, the 335i will be making about 360 RWHP and 380 RWTQ, which, for a daily, is quite a bit. The overwhelmingly superior build quality inside and out really make the 335i stand out more than the Corvette.
I can't get over the terrible interior in the Corvette.

Stop talking in my threads.
I am a design engineer for state of the art jet engines with my undergraduate degree.
You would be lucky to be dirt poor writing poems in the mud with a stick.
you tell me who is more qualified to speak about engineering.

I am being dead serious. I driving over tonight to give you cancer and rape your sister.
Just because the Porsche has a nicer interior and more prestige doesn't mean it's a better car.

build quality my ass. My roommates 325xi has an interior on par with the C6.

Unless I'm terribly mistaken, a 335i will never come close to out handling a C6 either.

I'm not going to get into the build quality of BMWs.
