What's some good stuff to mix with vodka?

Mt. Dew?

In addition to cranberry juice, Ocean Spray makes some variations like Cranberryapple that work well.

As someone mentioned, 7Up/Sprite/Diet Sprite works when you're looking to make something simpler than a martini mix.

Although i haven't tried it with regular mountain dew, the green apple with AMP is amazing. I got a bottle of it for this weekend solely for that mix. But now im not sure what to mix with the non-flavored vodka i picked up, although there's some good suggestions in here.

First time I ever had vodka was with Mt. Dew. i asked my friend "can I even get drunk off this? I don't even taste the vodka". I was drunk beyond belief. It was not fun.

Moscow Mule:

2 parts vodka
1 part lime juice (lime cordial also works)
3 parts ginger beer (not ginger ale)

Goes down a treat, and is nowhere near as sweet as the smirnoff RTD version.

Vodka lemon (lift/solo)
Lemon Lime Bitters is a great summer drink (for extra potency get a Vodka LLB -- turns it into a double)

White or Black russians are a good casual drink:

1 part vodka
1 part kahlua

Add milk to taste to turn it into a white russian. Serve with ice.
