Yes you read the thread title correctly,
American dry gin. This fantastic offering is distilled right in Philly, and I picked it up for $22.99. The scent is fantastic, smells very similar to Tanq 10. However, the taste is quite different than just about any other gin I have tried to date. It still retains that dry edge to it, but the bouquet of citrus is just simply amazing, definite taste of orange peel, and there's still substantial hints of juniper(so it doesn't taste watered down). Very smooth at first, and then an unexpected, but extremely pleasant bite at the end (I swear it almost reminds me of a clementine). I'm drinking it straight over ice. Bottom line is, this stuff rocks. I haven't made up my mind about whether it will break into my top 3 yet, but it obviously is a contender. Also, what a great f***ing name for the stuff, Bluecoat. A nice way to stick it those London Dry Gin makers. Down the British, up the colonies
