I never cared for chilling my mugs. It kills some of the flavoring.
The bottles I think make it taste better. I've had such better luck with glass bottles then the plastic ones. Get yourself a good bottle cleaner, and try to atleast wash them out after use. It will help keep any resedue yeast from getting dried onto the bottom of the bottle.

I see you're using the Mr. Beer bottles...Is that a Mr. Beer brew?
I just picked one up today and have my first batch fermenting as we speak.
I got a ton of questions I'd like to ask you about Mr. Beer too, if you get the chance.

I'll probably pick up a bottle cleaner in a few weeks. I order 48 12oz bottles that are suppose to come in tomorrow but I wont be getting the beer out of the carboy for probably about another week or so. I'm all out of homebrew for now I wish my second batch would hurry up.

Glass bottles are a little risky and do not enhance the taste at all. When homebrewing, having plastic bottles that will flex during carbonation is the best way to go. Not only that, the plastic bottles hold more and save time during the sanitation and bottling processes.
