Default Wild Turkey

This is a damn good bourbon, especially for the price. In Illinois a 750ml bottle cost me less than $20.

Decent alcohol content, too - 101 proof.

Smooth and not a harsh after taste, either.

I was planning on drinking it with some friends, but the bastards would only drink beer. So I ended up drinking nearly the entire bottle myself.

So far, as bourbons go, Wild Turkey is my favorite.

Turkey is my preferred shot. I've never sipped on it, but I think it'd be good.

Wild Turkey 101 is a great bourbon in the $20 or under category and gives some more expensive bourbons like Bakers and Basil Haydens a run for their money. What other bourbons have you tried? I almost picked up a handle of WT101 today, but decided to buy a bottle of Pappy 15 instead.

I like the Turkey 101 a lot. I actually used to think Turkey was to whiskey, as natty is to beer. Let me tell you I got surprised when I finally tried it. It's not an often purchase for me though, I usually go waaaay cheap, or lean to the expensive side.

If you like WT101 and Makers Mark, you may want to try Elijah Craig 12yr or Buffalo Trace.
